Hi, I’m Helen and I am a mum of two little monkeys. 

I’m a certified Sleep Consultant and I’m here to help you and your family to get the sleep you need, and deserve. 

My own children are the reason I started my journey into sleep consulting. 

Neither of them slept. Ever. 

Or at least for longer than 45 minutes. If I was lucky, I had a 2 hour stretch overnight. 

Any sleep that happened only occured after (what felt like) 4 hours of settling, feeding, rocking, walking, singing, more feeding…. sounds familiar?!

 

I’ve been where you are right now…

 

When I first encountered a Sleep Consultant I was living in Australia. I had no idea such a person existed! Both my husband and I were really struggling, and (as any parent who has faced this issue will know) it had a huge impact on our lives. 

My confidence as a parent took a nose dive. I second guessed myself. I felt frustrated, powerless, out of control and alone. I felt that nothing would ever get better. 

I was fortunate though. My GP recommended getting private help. In Australia there is alot of support for parents with sleep challenges. It totally changed my life (no exaggeration). More sleep for my children meant more sleep for me and my husband too. I felt like I was able to get back to being myself again. 

As a naturally skeptical person, I developed a real interest in the science behind infant sleep. So many of the ‘advice’ given by well meaning people was based on old wives tales, or were one size fits all approaches. I started to learn more about science, psychology, breastfeeding, attachment, reflux, infant mental health and ultimately Sleep Coaching. Friends started to come to ask my advice; and then we returned to the UK. 

 

Since returning to the UK, I am driven by helping families that are in the same situation that I was in. I love hearing from families that have had success (on their terms) for their child.
